The Fleet Forum is a joint initiative by the International Federation of the Red Cross, the World Food Programme, World Vision International, and TNT, who together represent a wide humanitarian community of the governmental and Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs). Through the Joint Supply Chain Initiative TNT brings expertise from the commercial sector and from its projects with WFP, to the forum.

Having Nothing and Sharing vs Not Having and Sharing
... to clearly understand our 'customer' WHO-NPSP and to prepare for the trainings Guus and I spend a day with NPSP during 'a round'. It was a special day. I call it ‘a triple I day': Impressive - Intense - Inspiring.
The team leader of the region - who has a responsibility for an area at least as large as the Netherlands - and a doctor guide us this day.

This is it! Today, 25th of March was the last official closing day of the 2011 Annual Fleet Forum Conference!
The last 3 days in Geneva, where this year’s conference took place, were the most challenging, intense, but at the same time interesting and exiting days of my whole 4 months Moving the World assignment.
In my opinion the 2011 Fleet Forum conference happened to be a great success!
Below I will give some more facts in support to that impression:

How to describe my first week in Delhi? Well… I find it almost impossible. But let’s go for it! It’s total chaos, says me, experience it from my own Dutch and therefore limited view. With respect to the people here: how they survive? And then I am only talking about the traffic. If you see and experience the traffic you’ll not be surprised there are over 120.000 accidents with deadly end in India every year. To be honest it surprises me that there aren’t more.

Fleet Forum is a joint initiative of amongst others WFP and TNT. Fleet Forum is the first independent knowledge centre, focused on issues surrounding transport in low and middle income countries. An interagency association that serves as an interface between stakeholders focusing on a foundation of three interdependent pillars of transport activity as it affects humanitarian aid and development:
