Describe yourself in maximum 20 words.
Willing to help anyone and love life.
What did you think when you realized that you were the winner of your national event?
WOW!
Did you expect to win?
Never really know how these things will go. It was tough driving a 5-tonne truck when I am used to driving linehauls. Previously finished second and third in linehaul lorries in the same competition.
What kind of driver are you (PUD driver, linehaul, etc.)? How would you describe yourself as a driver?
Linehaul driver; very patient and always willing to learn.
How many years of experience do you have within TNT?
12. I was previously a transport manager for a general haulage firm.
Describe briefly a typical workday.
Groundhog Day – vehicle check, drive from depot to hub and back again… every day.
What do you like about your job?
I am pretty much my own boss and I am left to my own devices.
What kind of issues do you run into?
Roadworks, diversions, wild animals and the weather. The winter of two years ago was particularly harsh.
What do you think drive me can bring into your life?
A new challenge, improve my driving skills, see how drivers from other countries perform and see how quickly left-hand drive comes back to me. Last drove LHD in the USA.
Do you think your team will win also the final?
I Will do my best to ensure Justin Trotman and I win.
Anyway to whom would you like to dedicate your victory?
My family, wife Gail, daughter Danielle (23), son Lewis (19) and boxer dog Daisy, who have magnificently stood by me.
