Day 2 begins with waking up at 0600hrs and getting ready to move from the hotel to our base of operations in Punta della Contessa.

I was still in a daze as I do not know what to expect today and the coming days. We traveled for over half an hour to the base and it was actually a base where a tower sits in the middle of the area. This tower was used for monitoring incoming commercial ships and also battleships belonging to the navi in the area.

As this is the first time LET is involved, my role for this training is still not well established and quite a few mistakes on the role play document. Had tospend time to make some amendments and submit to the admin group to finalise the details and ensure that the correct information is injected to the participants as the days progressed.

Our sleeping area is very basic with bunk beds stacked up to 3 levels. Of course I chose the lowest one as I may just fall off in such a small bed. It leaves to be experienced tonight if I fall or I will sleep well.

Today was a whole day of troubleshooting as the email system used is not very good and also the wifi was giving us so much problem the entire day. Slow, lagged, down every 5 minutes, accessing emails take more than 20 minutes and nothing much could be done. I couldn't even access my blackberry as the network connection in the area iis really bad.

Lunch was basic, Lasagne and dinner was ....... hmmmm I really felt that I was in a disaster location where food s scarce and hardly enough. But the company made the day really fun and bearable.

The day went by very fast, a lot of briefings, we have to come up with our own ideas on the role play and anything interesting that we want to inject to the participants to make the whole simulation interesting and challenging. All in all, a satisfying day.
